‘This is a positive post! Firstly, thank-you Molly for beginning such an amazing platform for your voice and for so many other people; it’s so refreshing to see on my news feed.
I have always been an optimist, in all aspects of life. While I do experience stress, upset and difficulties like any normal human being, I understand how to approach these feelings and overcome them, and I hope I can help others do the same.
I’ve recently discovered meditation, which has been amazing. I understand the stereotypes surrounding meditation, but my meditation is as simple as a 5 minute session on the Headspace app (which is amazing, by the way).
I also like to write down whatever’s troubling me, whether that’s in a well-worded diary entry, or just scrawled on a mindmap.
Rather than focusing on the negative aspects of your life, focus on the positives. If you feel down about your body, be positive that it provides you with a life! And if you want to change your body, change it for your health and happiness, NOT because society tells us to.
Do things you enjoy in life. For me, that could be something like spending time with my family and going out for the day, or something as small as taking a bath or curling up with a good book.
Thank-you again Molly for this opportunity.’
